MENDLESHAM SUMMER SENSATION FESTIVAL 13-15 AUGUST 2010

FIREWORKS, MUSIC, BARBECUE & BEER

ST MARY'S CHURCH, MENDLESHAM, SUFFOLK,
LAUNCHES OWN LABEL BEER

The new locally-brewed real ale, Mendlesham's Best - Assumption Edition 2010, will be unveiled at a special service - a Patronal Festival Sung Mass
in honour of the Assumption of St Mary, on Friday 13 August at 7.30pm.
This will be followed by a fantastic, FESTIVAL FIREWORKS DISPLAY set to music. A shared supper, wine and soft drinks, and bottles of beer will be available to buy..

Admission: FREE - donations for shared supper and fireworks; cash bar.

On Saturday 14 August at 7.30pm, the festival continues with 'MUSIC FOR A SUMMER EVENING' - a concert of lively classical music for Flute and Harp performed by international professional musicians, ANNA NOAKES (flute) and GABRIELLA DALL'OLIO (harp). The new beer and other drinks will be on sale,
Tickets: £12.50, £10.00, £7.50 & £5.00 from the festival box office.

The Festival reaches its exciting finale on Sunday 15 August with Parish Sung Mass at 9.30 am, followed by an outdoor BEER FESTIVAL with 4 beers on tap from 12noon-4pm, a BARBECUE, and at 1.00 pm a concert 'MUSIC OF THE ANDES' in the church by the wonderful band CUBAN LIFT, American percussion, featuring TONY HINNIGAN, founder-member of the '80s hit band, Incantation, and other leading musicians.
